Chiu M. Chan
R. Ph., Founder, Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer
Chiu M. Chan, R. Ph., has served as a director and as the president, secretary, and chief executive officer of Dynacq since July 1992. He is the founder of Dynacq and serves as the Chairman of the Board and interim Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Chan is a registered pharmacist and during the period from May 1978 to July 1992 was employed by various healthcare service organizations in Houston , Texas , including Lifemark Corporation and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Mr. Chan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Houston and is a registered pharmacist. He has been involved in the healthcare industry since 1971.
Philip S. Chan
CPA - Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer
Philip S. Chan has served as a director and as our vice president of finance, chief financial officer, and treasurer since July 1992. Mr. Chan earned advanced accounting degrees from the University of Houston and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas . Prior to his employment with Dynacq, Mr. Chan had previous corporate and outside accounting experience. He has more than 25 years of corporate accounting experience. Despite the same last name, Philip S. Chan is not related to the company's CEO, Chiu M. Chan.
Alan A. Beauchamp
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Alan A. Beauchamp has served as an Executive Vice President and our Chief Operating Officer since January 17, 2005 . Mr. Beauchamp has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University . Prior to his appointment with the Company, Mr. Beauchamp accumulated a significant amount of experience in an administrative and executive capacity for several healthcare organizations including, Doctors Hospital Parkway and Doctors Hospital Tidwell. He was also the President, as well as an investor, for four software companies, and was a principal and President/CEO of Premier Analytical Laboratories, one of only 72 SAMSHA approved forensic drug testing laboratories in the United States . Mr. Beauchamp brings to the Company a collective 29 years in the healthcare industry focused on hospital operations.
Hemant Khemka
CPA, MBA - Corporate Controller
Hemant Khemka has served as our Corporate Controller since July 2004 and was our assistant controller since April 2003. Mr. Khemka earned advanced accounting degrees from the University of Calcutta, a Masters degree in Business Administration and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas . Prior to his employment with Dynacq, Mr. Khemka had previous corporate and outside accounting experience with Ernst & Young LLP and El Paso Corporation. Mr. Khemka is responsible for the management and supervision of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and staff accounting functions. He is responsible for assisting in the financial audits and regulatory filings, including SEC filings.
Ringo Cheng
Director of Information Technology
Ringo Cheng has served as the Director of Information Technology since 2000. Mr. Cheng is responsible for managing Information Technology "(I.T.)" operations and providing development and leadership to the I.T. staff for all four of our facilities . Mr. Cheng contributes over 24 years of computer systems experience in software development & network management, including main frame systems, mini computer systems, Unix, Novell, LAN and WAN to our company. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Management Information System from the University of Houston . Prior to his employment with Dynacq, Mr. Cheng was a systems manager for ITEQ Storage Systems, Inc., which provided a significant basis for his technical expertise in both hardware and software operations.
